			<description><![CDATA[ I&#39;ve got a TE SM200 and an SM600 and the schemo shows different output transistors for the different models, SM600, etc. Can you change out the stock ones
with the different power ones, and if so, would they need additional/less heat sinking? Just curious since I don&#39;t see any other apparent differences

I had a 60&#39;s real AC30 restoration job a few years ago, and when she was finished, I heard what everyone was talking about regarding these amps. (yum)

Later, I had a few reissues come in for minor repairs, and while it didn&#39;t 100% nail the tone of the real deal, it came close enough for me.

			<description><![CDATA[ I am working on a Sunn 1000S head. Its a guitar head with trem and rev. (2) 5AR4  (4) 6550 (3) pre-amp. Symptoms are loss of volume after 10-20 minutes of
operation. A noticeable drop in volume and a distorted tone. Its a &#39;69 with original caps. I have re-capped the power supply and re-biased with Tung-Sol
reissue 6550&#39;s. Seemed to work fine for awhile and I thought it was fixed but am running into the same problem again. Sometimes, immediately after powering

			<description><![CDATA[ Ive always marveled at how sensitive the bias pots are on the old vintage version of the venerable Ampeg SVT. I have one in the shop now getting the complete
going over (recap/resistors, cleaning , etc) before it goes out on tour with a well known punk band....setting the bias on one these old gals takes patience
and nerves of steel. Ive seen this before, but its like the slightest movement on the adjust pots can make 10mA or more difference...and if you don&#39;t get
both sides exactly... ]]></description>

It's an Acoustic Control Corporation (usually just called 'Acoustic') Model 164.<br>This amp sounds great with any of my guitars, whether they're single coil or humbucker equipped.<br>Is anyone else using one of these?
