I have a Crate GFX-1200H that does nothing but hiss. Does anyone have a schematic for this head or know where I can find one?

Fender Frontma 212R help

I have a Fender Frontman 212R that is giving me some trouble. I am new to repairing amps so please excuse me if I ask some dumb questions. I do have some schooling in electronics, but it has been a while...

Anyway when this amp is powered up it hisses loudly and very little sound passes through. I replaced the filter caps with no change. Is this a common problem with this amp? Where should I look next? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Crate SS amps

I just picked up a Crate G250 that does not work. First I can't find the schematic. From what I have learned, cold solder joints seem to be a big problem with the crates. Can anyone offer some words of wisdom here.

I'm trying to find a schematic for an old SS Fender Bassman model SP3100. Fender doesn't even list it on their site. Does anyone know anything about these amps?

We have a customer with an L5, Lab Series 2x12 combo, that has a burnt power transformer. Just checkin' if someone would have a parts cow with a good one???

Fender Deluxe 112 plus

garage sale unit. 2 resitors burnt R4 and R5 these resistors go from the pots to ground per the prints. Any idea what could cause these resistors to fry??

Devid Eden Nemesis N320 repair

I'm currently doing a warranty repair on a Devid Eden Nemesis N320 bass amp combo. I don't normally do SS repairs but this is for a company that I do warranty repairs for and they specifically asked for me to do it.

Anyway, this 'pig' has convinced me that I don't like SS amp repairs. It has a fault that is causing the output FETs to turn on and make a loud buzz, but because it has feedback loops on feedback loops and direct coupling between stages, it is an absolute bugger to fault...

I know this a guitar amp, but I use a keyboard for some of the church stuff because I don't want to move my stack. My amp is combo amp. I opened it up and it basically a head and cabinet connected only by a speaker wire, a black and red one. I'm want to add a 1/4 inch mono socket onto the wires, but I don't know which wire goes on the sleeve and tip and such.

Problem with a hd 147

I have a Line 6 Hd 147 in the shop. Strange problem the signal fades after a few min. I found the input board to have the ic with broken solder on the input pin. i ran it with no problems for 60 min. The customer had it for 2 days. the problem is back. Any ideas anyone.

Lab Series 5 increasing hum then dies

Hi,

I recently bought an L5. Sounded nice when i purchased it but when I've been playing it for a while it startrd to hum. A kind of radio-like noise. Slowly the noise increased and after apporx. ten minutes the L5 crescendoed into a really loud hum. Eventually the amp goes out, meaning I cannot hear the guitar playing, the hum also goes away. Anyone encountered the same kind of problem?

OK, it's not an amp. But does any one have any tips on how to improve them? Tame the noise? Upgrade, for better performance etc. I'm talking about the solid state models here. Any links to sites that would have info?

An Evans JE 500. Evidently nown in the steel and jazz circles as the stuff. All I know is my archtop sounds great though it. Quiet as a church mouse. Wont replace my tube amps but damn. Not to shabby.
