Has anyone tried any of these kits?They look like they might be a fun way to make a good sounding pedal.
I ebayed some of my pedals cuz people were paying crazy money for them,now I want to replace a couple of them. I was thinkin about there odII and Tonebender esv,pedals. |

The BYOC kits are reasonably good. My experience with them is that I offer a construction service through bMusic for folks who want one but doubt their
electronics assembly skills. They are actually quite simple to put together and the ones I've built and tried sound OK to my tin ear.

I like the idea of the tweakability in building your own.Anyone here familiar with voicing pedals?
The Tonebender is based on the late 60's germainium benders,using vintage components.They do fuzzy,I dont mind the Ge type fuzzes when their not to over the top. The od pedels a different story.People spend years chasing just the right od pedel.The Byoc kit ODII has many options,it can be hard to know where to start.I think, I know in my head what things should sound like,its the getting there. |
