Hello, my name is Bob and I'm a music gear junkie.
It started with just a little plastic guitar, I believe I was about 4 years old. How did I know what it would lead to. I would sit on the sofa on Saturday nights and watch Porter Wagner and Flatt & Scruggs (yeah, it's been a while) and "play" along with them. Then there were the piano lessons at 9 years old & my first guitar at 12 ( a Sears Silvertone Acoustic with the pick guard painted on). I purposely would burn the ends of my fingers with kitchen matches to blister & toughen my fingers with thick callouses so I could stand to play that piece of junk. The habit progressed on to a cheap electric & amp, building a Heathkit fuzz pedal and on. At this point I have:
Two acoustic pianos in the house, a Hammond 147 spinet project, a Hammond T-100 spinet, a Hammond CV & Leslie 145, a Wurlitzer 420 Leslie wannabe, a Wurlitzer 320 Leslie wannabe, a Yamaha S80, a Siel DK80, a Casio 1200, a Yamaha MU-80, a Korg CX3, a Korg Triton Le, a Yamaha CP-20, a rare Multivox Firstman, an Arp Quartet, an Emu PK6 with a B-3 expansion module, a Fender 1967 Mustang, a 1977 Gibson Paul, a 1973 Yamaha FG-180, a nasty old Gibson LG1, a Fender Silverface Twin, a decidedly cursed Fender Silverface Bandmaster and various cabinets rack modules and other instruments................in other words, I'm hooked.
I'm first & foremost a keyboardist, playing guitar when I get the chance.....hence the monicker "keyzrus".
I've been without a music instrument for ....oh, about an hour...........
Best regards,
Bob
